Smile, it's your turn to put manufacturing in the spotlight
For all you budding photographers, here’s a chance to help the sector gain the recognition it deserves.EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, has launched a national competition to find the most visually striking photography from the UK manufacturing sector.
It’s part of a national intitiave to modernise the outmoded image the media, and much of the population, still have about manufacturing.
The competition, ‘Capturing the Spirit of Modern Manufacturing’ is aimed at amateurs and professionals from within manufacturing companies and elsewhere, as well as young people aged 14-19.
The entries will showcase the excellence of UK industry, through high-end, visually striking technology, processes and people.
The competition will culminate in an award for the winning entries in each of the three categories of professional, amateur and young people aged 14-19. They will be presented at EEF’s Future Manufacturing Awards in January 2011 and used to promote EEF’s Manufacturing Week in Spring 2011.
Entries close on 31st December 2010 - For full information about how to enter - go to www.eef.org.uk/photo
