The Agility Centre continues to support Small businesses
Liverpool University has many business projects to boast. Perhaps one of the most exciting for manufacturers in complicated Northwest supply chains is The Agility Centre. This is a support arm set up in 2000 to work with small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in Merseyside. A place that houses expertise in management and technology from experienced operations management and marketing staff.
What will the Agility Centre do for you?
After an initial meeting they use Agility diagnostic tools to identify your requirements. They then make a plan and suggest a number of ways to go forward. For example assigning an analyst to mentor the company, boosting skills through bespoke workshops, finding solutions to process issues and providing resources such as student placements.
In cases where the project is long term, and the company lacks the resources or skills to sustain the implementation plan a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is proposed. This scheme is part-funded by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Beverston Engineering is one of 20 companies to be placed with a successful KTP.
The Agility Centre remit?
To assist small businesses. Help them develop and grow using the techniques and tools of agility. To ensure you can thrive in environments characterised by change without any compromise to cost or quality.
What will it cost?
Not a penny! It's free for companies with less than 250 people.
