ThisIsManufacturing is an interactive portal funded by the Northwest Regional Development Agency
(NWDA). It hopes to help breathe new life into our region’s manufacturing sector by celebrating pioneering, inventive and ground-breaking products, processes and advancement.

As well as showcasing the innovative, diverse and emerging markets that form the backbone of the Northwest’s economy, the site gives valuable information to businesses that will help them through difficult times, inspire them to aim for greater success and keep them motivated and focussed through what is now a fast changing and competitive arena.

This shared business resource will help companies sustain, improve and raise manufacturing’s contribution to regional GVA.

A rich mix of news, videos, interviews, opinion and social networking forums makes ThisIsManufacturing a place to discover new ideas and new thinking; to connect you and your industry to the things that matter most.

It’s a place where businesses can start to mould the future of your industry together. ThisIsManufacturing aims to augment the NWDA’s regional manufacturing strategy by showcasing regional excellence within the sector and encouraging closer collaboration between both businesses and higher education.

The development of the website was overseen by a steering committee made up of NWDA, The Manufacturing Institute, EEF and Junction K.

The project was managed by and website and content created by Junction K. Junction K specialises in the creation of social and business change campaigns. It creates both online and offline environments, together with the brand values and marketing, which improve how people think, act or behave.
